North / South House Gap?
Recent reports are showing that the price gap has increased more than ever with the Nationwide banking stating it increased by £24,000 alone in the last year.
The average house price in the North of England is £155,222 comapring this to the average price in teh South of England which is £324,078, thats a staggering divide.
Looking further North to our buddies across the border, Scotlands average house price is up a touch to £141,245. Wales also saw a slight increase to £145,973 and Northern Ireland saw a larger jump with their average house price now sitting at £128,562.
These figures were obviously before the EU referendum and the stamp duty hike for buy - to - let investors, so it will be interesting to see what happens in the coming months, but one thing is for sure, you get more bang for your buck up North.
