Why is Salford the place to live?
A recent article in the M.E.N has outlined several factors why our local area is a hot tipped place to live. One of the main reasons for this is the major investment in housing, transport and the general local area over the past few years.
We have a world class university, a food and drink scene that can rival London and affordable housing why not live here?
Accoriding to the article in the M.E.N the most popular places to live are Worsley, Monton, Ellenbrook, Boothstwon and Walkden. Again these neighbourhoods have seen a huge boost in their popularity due to new restaurants, bars, shops and modern housing being built.
Mediacity has also seen a serge over the past few years with all of the brightest in T.V land now calling it home and cool young professionals.
Salford has some of the best local schools in the area such as Broadoak or Monton Primary, along with so much to do on your doorstep including the beautiful Worsley Woods.
According to the article, House prices in Salford rose by 13.1 per cent last year, to £144,614, which is twice the national average.
Salford may not have always had the greatet reputation but it's come on leaps and bounds and if we do say so oursleves, it's a mighty fine place to live.
